Developed specifically for teams, the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) predicts the ability to get along and get ahead, determining success in careers, relationships, education, and life.
Organizations around the world rely on the HPI to provide insight into how people will work, how they will lead, and how successful they will be in their careers.
The HPI describes people’s bright-side or normal personality – the way they behave when they are at their best. Bright-side personality predicts people’s strengths and shortcomings, work behavior, and leadership style.
The HPI remains the industry standard for measuring normal personality, with a 40-year history of predicting employee performance and helping companies reduce turnover shrinkage and poor service.
The Hogan Development Survey describes the dark side of personality and concerns behavioral tendencies that are strengths under normal circumstances. However, when these behaviors are not being managed and/or are overused, they become problematic, often degrade leadership effectiveness and erode the quality of business and personal relationships.
If these behavior patterns are recognized, however, they can be compensated for through development and coaching.
Organizations around the world rely on the HDS to identify derailers that disrupt or interfere with effective performance.
The MVPI identifies the core motives, values, interests and beliefs that determine what kind of work people find fulfilling, how they fit into an organization, and what gets them out of bed and to the job each day.
Organizations can use this information to ensure that values held by job applicants and employees are consistent with those of the organization. The MVPI can shed light on areas of compatibility and conflict among team members. By assessing values, you can understand what motivates candidates to succeed, and in what type of position, job, and environment they will be most productive.
People’s core motives, values and interests affect every aspect of their lives, from what they find rewarding to their behavior and decisions-making. Understanding your employees’ values is key to creating an engage, motivated workforce.
The Hogan Flash Report graphically displays Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey, and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory scale scores and provides raw data for HPI, HDS, and MVPI subscales. No interpretation information is provided. The report is designed for use by a coach or user with expertise to interpret based on numbers alone.
